iOS and Android

Aftertype

Copied AI text sometimes carries invisible Unicode. Aftertype finds the hidden characters it supports and removes them from the copy you keep. That runs on the phone. The text is not uploaded.

How it works

Paste from the clipboard, or share text from another app. Aftertype shows whether it found hidden characters and gives you a copy with those removed. You can also tidy dashes, quotes, and spaces if you want. That all happens on the device.

On Android, sharing text opens the app. On iOS, you can clean and copy from the Share sheet.

What it does not do

A clean result means the hidden characters Aftertype supports were not there, or they were removed. It does not mean a person wrote the text, and it will not fool a detector that looks at word choice.
